Virginia Beach Neighborhood Ambassador Program in District 4

The ambassador program aims to address the issue of low engagement between historically marginalized communities and local government in Virginia Beach by identifying and removing barriers to participation. The goal is to foster equitable engagement across the entire City, ensuring that all voices are heard and represented in local decision-making.

I’m excited to share that the Neighborhood Ambassador Program is set to launch on Monday, January 6, 2025, and will run through March 29, 2025.

Roger Durity is the ambassador assigned to the identified neighborhoods in District 4. He will be conducting grassroots efforts to engage with residents in the community. His role includes going door-to-door to speak with residents about barriers to engagement and participation. Roger has been vetted by the city and will be easily identifiable by his city-issued badge and iPad. We kindly ask for your support in sharing this information with your community and allowing Roger to connect with the residents of Campus East who wish to speak with him.
